Let’s talk about premenstrual dysphoric disorder. Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a severe form of PMS or premenstrual syndrome.

A few symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD):
• Bloating
• Headaches
• Breast tenderness
• Anxiety
• Depression

There seems to be a lot of information about PMDD but no information that’s going to help correct the problem. Most information is on how to live with the problem more comfortably.

With PMDD, the person has a hormonal imbalance situation. Typically, estrogen is low, but progesterone is severely low. This can give the appearance of an estrogen dominance situation, but it’s not really an estrogen dominance situation.

What you can do for PMDD:
• Avoid all dairy
• Consume cruciferous vegetables or take DIM
• Consume sea kelp (iodine)
• Take vitamin D (10,000-20,000IU per day)

  1. I’ve suffered with PMDD most of my life and like many others… The only “cure” western medicine has are either birth control and/or SSRI’s. I started this a month ago and WOW huge difference. I am completely dairy free except a small amount of butter cooked into things. Besides that, zero dairy. I do eat vegan cheese when I want things cheesy. I will say getting the DIM + calcium d glucarate really helped me. It helped balance my estrogen and progesterone better then just DIM. I was depressed still with DIM only. I also take Garden of Life Organics multivitamin and the recommended 20k IU’s of vitamin d +k2 per day. First month down. Thanks Dr berg.

  2. Thanks for the video, this is great, however, I’m concerned by the amount of vitamin D3 you suggest. 10,000 IU seems huge compared to the 800 IU my doc diagnosed for my deficiency. My research suggested 4,000 was the safe upper limit.
